Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2025.
Chalam ("we", "our") is a dream interpretation app. This policy describes how we handle your information when you use our app and website.
Information we collect
When you use Chalam, you provide dream text and optional context (e.g. tone preference, sleep data if you enable it). If you create an account, we store your email and account data via Firebase. We do not sell your personal information or dream content.
How we use it
Dream content is sent to our interpretation service (OpenAI) to generate personalized interpretations. We use your preferences and account data to operate the app (e.g. saving your journal, restoring your plan). With the "Privacy: no training on my data" setting enabled (default), we do not use your data to train models.
Data storage
On mobile, journal and settings are stored on your device. Account data is stored with Firebase. On the web, data is stored in your browser (localStorage). We may add cloud sync in the future; we will update this policy if so.
Your rights
You can delete your account and data from the app (Settings). You can clear enrichment data (sleep/context) without deleting dreams. For questions or requests, contact us at the email in the app or on our website.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy here and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email where appropriate.
